Frequently Asked Questions

Taking the first step toward therapy is a courageous decision, and I'm here to make this process as comfortable as possible for you. Below you'll find answers to questions commonly asked by new clients. I believe that therapy is a collaborative relationship built on trust and understanding, so please don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions that aren't addressed here.

Your comfort and confidence in this process are important to me.

  • Our work typically follows these phases, though the process is always personalized to your needs:

    1. Assessment and Goal Setting: We'll explore your concerns, history, and what you hope to achieve through therapy.

    2. Developing Insights and Skills: Together, we'll identify patterns and develop practical strategies to address your challenges.

    3. Implementation and Growth: You'll apply new insights and skills in your daily life, with ongoing support and adjustments as needed.

    4. Integration and Maintenance: As progress is made, we'll focus on solidifying gains and preparing for continued growth after therapy concludes.

  • Standard therapy sessions are 50 minutes long, sometimes referred to as a "therapeutic hour."

  • Most clients begin with weekly sessions. As you progress, we may adjust to biweekly or monthly sessions. The frequency depends on your needs, goals, and progress.

  • The duration varies greatly depending on your specific concerns, goals, and progress. Some clients achieve their goals in just a few months, while others benefit from longer-term support. We'll regularly review your progress and adjust the treatment plan accordingly.

  • My fee is $200 per session.

  • I accept Aetna and United Healthcare. (please call to verify your coverage)

  • I require 24 hours notice for cancellations. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged a cancellation fee, except in cases of emergency.

  • Yes, I offer secure video sessions for clients who prefer remote therapy or cannot attend in-person sessions.
